Cat 4 Women's Challenge
Thanks
to underwriting from Bontrager, the new cat 4 women's challenge
has begun.
Sponsorship
is being allocated to every WCA club race that hosts a separate
Cat 4 women's race, with funds to be used for a cash prize list
for the Cat 4 women.
USA
Cycling License Information
- Did
you know that $10 of your annual USA Cycling membership is returned
to WCA to help provide things like rider upgrade processing, officials
training and recruitment, and resources to promoters? Every membership
a Wisconsin rider takes directly helps racing in Wisconsin.
- Are
you racing with a one-day license? If a rider purchases up to
two one-day licenses and sends in the receipt(s), the rider can
get up to $10($5 per one-day) off the annual membership. This
means that the "try before you buy" concept will cost
the rider no money. The rider will have to mail in the license
application with the receipts attached as currently USAC does
not have a way to make this work with the online system however,
go ahead an try cycling and then consider an annual membership.

Lapham Peak Cross Race Pics If you were at the Lapham Peak Cyclocross Race this year, you saw the small army of photographers hiking around and pretending you were racing le Tour. Well, they produced some amazing pics which can be viewed at: http://www.imagequix.com/photog.php?id=29DKH9J&ec=cyclocross. Many thanks to Bill Meyer, renowned Wisconsin photographer from the Journal Sentinel and other
publications for posting the pics. Prints can be ordered from the site. Lastly, huge thanks to Wheel & Sprocket in Delafield for donating race prizes and providing an employee (on the clock!) to help with trail work in preparation for the race! That's a great way to dig into the local cycling scene! Have a great fall! Lake Country Endurance
Keep
your number! The WCA Cyclocross Series is experimenting
with issuing permanent cyclocross numbers. This reduces the cost
to race organizers, lightens our ecological footprint (Tyvek doesn't
grow on trees!), and may make registration flow more quickly. You
can help us by bringing your number to each race. We've purchased
enough to allow for a few spares, but don't want to run out before
the end of the season! Questions? Contact Heidi wcatech@earthlink.net.

area. All proceeds raised will go to help the BFW continue to make
Wisconsin a better place to bicycle. Help us reach our goal of being

The
Story Behind WIBIKELAW.COM
I think there is a saying about lawyers that says something
like “you hate them until you need one.” Dan Goldberg
just might be the guy you need, although we hope you don’t.
Goldberg (IS Corp) is the brain behind WIBIKELAW.com a new website
advertiser on WCA. Like a lot of WCA riders he is a full time
professional and unassuming behind his blue and white kit. read
